We have a room at MarCon this year, and everyone should come and play! Out theme is Bread and Circuses, as in the episode when Kirk, Spock and McCoy went to the Roman planet.
We'll be serving a new drink at this con - Roman Red. We'll throw all Barbarians in the arena (basically all visitors to the room) and they'll have fun there. We have other fun ideas, too.
Feel free to dress as a gladiator or Follower of the Son, or any other character from the episode or others. Or come in your 21st century American clothes and you'll fit right in, too. If you want advice on a costume, let me know and I'll give you details of what others are doing.
We really need your help with set-up and take-down. Get there by 2pm Thursday the 3rd. We will set up through the evening and eat chili when we get hungry (so make sure to let me know if you're coming so we have enough). After set-up we’ll go home and come back at noon Friday. We’ll finish up and the room will open when we’re ready. Take-down will be at 9am on Sunday and again we'll need a hand, so come if you can.
This promises to be pretty fun and a good interactive experience, so please join us!
