We're the crew of the USS Nokomis Star Trek club!
We have been active in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, science fiction community for more than 20 years. For us, Star Trek is a starting point to launch friendships. We take our common interest in the show and optimism in our future and apply it to the world around us. Whether it's attending our regular meetings, participating in a community service project, or socializing at one of our parties or campouts, the Nokomis can be as much as you want to make it.

Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. There is no substitute for your donation.
The USS Nokomis sponsors a blood drive at each large science fiction convention in conjunction with the American Red Cross.

| To misquote Captain Kirk on the way to Mutara, “we tried it once our way, and we’re game for a rematch!” Last year was our first outing to the Elm Creek Park Tubing Hill, complete with manmade snow and a moving sidewalk lift. All nature can do now to wreck the day is to mess up the roads… I hope that wasn’t a jinx. |

Twin Cities Regional Science Fair, Feb 24-25, 2012 |

For the 19th Year the Nokomis will be helping out with the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair.
The event takes place at the Field House, University of Minnesota. A rough timetable of events
Friday
9:00AM Set up (lots of manual labor)
2:00PM Start checking in the students
4:30PM Judging Opens (runs until about 10PM)
Saturday
10:00AM Start of award ceremony
12:00PM Begin takedown
2:30PM Lunch and fun.
