Greetings, crew!
Wow, I can't believe I just typed the year: 2016? Time sure flies when you're having fun, and we have had a lot of fun! This year is the 50th anniversary of Star Trek and the 32nd anniversary of the USS Nokomis. We plan to celebrate both. Here are some of the things we are planning for the first half of the year:

We will have lots of other fun in July and forward, including the premier of the new Star Trek movie - Star Trek Beyond - that is planned for July 22nd at this time. If you have any other fun ideas for the 50th anniversary year, let a board member know. We are working on plans for an all-ships party to coincide with the actual 50th anniversary date, too.
Another big deal this year is elections for the Governing Board. We will start taking nominations in March and the election will be in May. We have some folks stepping off of the board this year and we can't run the club without officers, so please consider stepping up to fill a position. The best part of being on the board is the fun board meetings, where we plan the club's activities. You can make a difference! Of course, after the board meetings we always go out to eat, because we have to eat!
