Greetings, Crew!
We had a great day at the Dr. Jane Dusek Memorial CONvergence Blood Drive on the 13th. Our 40th convention blood drive collected 23 pints of blood - enough to touch 69 lives. That brings our grand total to almost 2,200 pints and over 6,500 lives!!!! We gave Red Cross Shark Week t-shirts and the highly coveted USS Nokomis Convention Blood Donor Badge Ribbon to each donor. Special thanks to Roxanne, Jenna and Matthew for their hours of volunteering at the hotel. Check out who's right behind them!
We heard from multiple friends of Jane's - from elementary school chums to Star Trek friends - about their memories and condolences. We also collected names for our memorial event on October 8th. Make sure to mark your calendar!
