Wow, Another One??

Have you heard this news? There's another Star Trek show on the horizon, and it's not Picard, Discovery, Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, Short Treks, or even the planned Section 31 series.

Nope, this one's for the kiddies. Announced last week at Comic-Con 2020 , the new Nickelodeon show "follows a bunch of 'lawless teens' taking a derelict Starfleet ship for a ride. Along the way they beam up adventure, meaning, and, hey, maybe even salvation." According to CNet, "Star Trek: Prodigy is developed by Kevin and Dan Hageman, two of the Emmy Award winners behind Trollhunters and Ninjago. It's aimed at a younger audience, unlike the other animated Trek series Lower Decks, which premieres [next week]" Technically, it's the third animated Trek, after The Animated Series and the two Short Treks animated episodes, but this will be the first completely computer generated Star Trek show.

Seriously, folks, if somebody had told you 10 years ago that there would be seven Trek projects in work in 2020, how many kinds of crazy would you have called them? Amazing!!
