The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory starting at midnight Saturday morning and lasting through the day. This advisory predicts icy, hazardous conditions that make non-critical driving unwise. The Board of the Nokomis, in an abundance of caution, has cancelled Dec 14th’s holiday gatherings. Please do not attempt to travel to either event, and pass the word as you can.

Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch, sleet accumulations up to one tenth of an inch, and ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch.

Wright, Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington, Freeborn, Le Sueur, Rice, Steele, Waseca, and Goodhue Counties.
When
From midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Saturday.
Impacts
Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions.
