Greetings, Crew!
Welcome to 2025! Can you believe we're entering our FIFTH decade as a club? Take a moment to think about how unusual this is, as most independent groups don't last this long. Be proud!
We have some fun times coming up soon, so don't miss them. First up, of course, is our January meeting on Saturday. Please join us if you can. After the meeting, we'll have a fun game to play (note that we do NOT have a bowling party - this was discussed theoretically in the fall).
Next, we'll gather as a group to watch the premier of the new movie - Star Trek: Section 31 - on January 24th. See details in this newsletter and don't forget to sign up online (or contact a board member) ASAP to let us know you're coming. Then it's on the the food packing at Feed My Starving Children. We are also looking at a Science Museum of Minnesota outing in January - more to come on that...
In February we have our membership meeting on the 8th, followed by the Valentine Dinner on the 14th (yes, it's actually on Valentine's Day!). You need to sign up for the dinner by January 31st!
We're also planning for the Twin Cities Regional Science Fair, MarsCon room, MarsCon Blood Drive, the NLC Gala, blanket making for My Very Own Bed, a brewery tour, this year's anniversary picnic, and more. Come to the meeting on Saturday to hear more, and keep your eyes out in this and future newsletters for details.
We're hoping to see everybody in the new year and hope everyone is doing well.
See you around the Galaxy!
Mary
