Here’s the scoop:
- The party will start at 4:00 PM.
- Beer tasting will start at 5:00 pm.
- Bring food to share. This is a very important component of any beer-tasting, since even drinking just ounce of each beer, times many beers, equals a lot of ounces!! We need to eat so that we all don’t have to take cabs home.
- Bring four to six bottles or cans of your favorite beer (alcoholic, non-alcoholic, homebrew, funny name, unique flavor, or whatever else you can find). You may even bring soda, if you think it’s better.
- Bring your taste buds in working order, and bring an open mind, because the labels may be visible. The fact that you always thought light beers were horrible should NOT stop you from voting for one if you think it’s the best-tasting beer in its group (you know who you are).
- We will taste in rounds of six beers. The rounds will be set by order of arrival, not by category. This means that if you will be arriving a bit late you can still compete. During each round, you will taste all six, giving two points to your favorite and one point to your second choice.
