Greetings, Crew!
It's October, and time for all of those fun October-y events. Haunted houses, bonfires, the Star Trek Bar Crawl on the 28th, TC Trek Trivia on October on the 11th, carving your Spocky pumpkins, and of course, Pumpkin Spice Raktajino! Enjoy it while you can, and bring honor to your House!
We are gearing up for the 40th Anniversary next year. We have plans for several fun events through the year. We'd like to throw a bash - like we did for Trek 50 and our 35th Anniversary - where we can relax, enjoy each others' company, have a great meal, and celebrate 40 years. How many clubs can say that, really!? We also plan to have a 40th Anniversary memento for all, whether you've been a member for 1 or 40 years. We have a very small committee at this time, so drop me a line if you'd like to help with the planning. We'll be meeting in November as a committee.
Other important notes about dates:
- We would love to see everyone at the Chuckwagon, and we need to know by 5pm tomorrow (Sunday) if you are coming for food planning purposes
- Speaking of Chuckwagon, even if you can't attend you can get 50/50 Raffle tickets. The charity funds this year go to Ukraine Relief. You can print out the file in an earlier website post or just collect the money and we'll through the names in the hat (if doesn't impact the chances of winning if you don't have a ticket in hand). Tickets are $5 for one, $10 for 3, so everyone can get some. Let me, Roxanne or Pam know if you'd like to buy (or comment on our Facebook page)
- We're planning to pack food for Feed My Starving Children in January
- Our holiday event, which usually falls on the 2nd Saturday in January, is under consideration. If you have ideas for an outing or dinner location, let a Board member know
