2017 Bowling Party Wrap Up

Thanks for joining us for the 513th bowling party...at least I think we've had that many!  Just to let those that couldn't attend know what happened:

Jack Langhoff scored big and Phill Goldman did too.  And sweet Jenna Cruz was kind enough to laugh with our need to practice award this year!

18 people bowled at least 2 games each, everyone seemed to have a great time trying to out score themselves and everyone else as well!

It also seemed to be voted that we have another bowling party in 2018.  Therefore look for the next one after our 2018 Sept. general membership meeting!    Join a league and start practicing so you can touch the USS Nokomis bowling trophy and have your picture taken! Peanut gallery be ready to cheer!

Bowling Party in October

Bowling Ball of DoomDig out your bowling balls and shoes.  Polish up those throws!  Get ready to bowl your fingers numb!!

Following our October 2016 General Membership meeting we will again have free/open bowling at St. Francis School (see the map for the general meeting location--we'll stay there).  Because we have a busy meeting we will start promptly at noon so that the bowling can start at 2 pm.  We have the facility until 5 pm--enough time to wear everyone out. Those of us that don't fling the weighted spheres cheer from the sidelines as well as play games.

Remember! We invite our friends from local fandom to this meeting so be spiffy!!  We will be pick out a restaurant to compare scores afterwards.

There's a signup sheet for the whole event, give it a look-see.

Free balls, $1.00 shoes, free bowling--what's not to love!

2015 Bowling Party

We're done bowling for another year.  I hope you all had fun.  I wasn't able to see everyone because of work, but I didn't get lost on my way to St. Francis this time so I had time to visit with many of you!!

My able assistant, Shannon Hill, was kind enough to track scores for us. Many took part in flinging spheres, all had fun, but a couple reached the top!!  Phill Goldman was first this year with 189, Jack Langhoff was second with 134.  Now everyone knows what to shoot for next year.

Yes, we are planning another bowling party/general meeting/potluck in 2016.  Go ahead, get together, practice.  Maybe you will win the Dairy Queen gift card next year!
