I hope you have purchased and sold tickets for the event on October 16th. We will have a good meal and (hopefully) raise funds! Here are a few notes for you:
Our auction has some really special items this year. We have multiple pieces of jewelry and other special pieces in addition to the usual assortment of baskets and other goods. This is a great opportunity to pick up a special gift or treasure for yourself. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds from these special items to Feline Rescue in Jane's honor. More information will be shared at the Chuckwagon. If you can't attend and would like to get in on the sale, email Mary for details.
Don't forget that you can participate in the 50-50 raffle even if you aren't at the event. Send in your money (PayPal, Venmo, etc.) and let us know how many tickets you'd like. We'll put your name in the hat for you! They are one for $5 and 3 for $10, and you can print them out (if you like to hold your ticket while chuckling about how much you're going to win - heehehehehehee) from the files in a recent newsletter. Our donation this year from the raffle will be for relief in Ukraine.
Finally, please come. So far we have sold a low number of tickets and the event depends on people attending. We hope to raise enough money to fund our club expenses for the next year, while donating to these two fine charities.
