Country Holiday Roundup – 50/50 Cash Draw Results

The Nokomis held a 50/50 Cash Draw at the October 26th Country Holiday Roundup.  Charitable Proceeds went to Christmas for Veterans, an assistance program that helps our Vets have the holiday they couldn't on their own.  This year's total tickets raised the highest amount we've ever had - thank you to all how participated and donated.

Our lucky winners in 2026 were Lynne Tauer and Phill Goldman, longtime members of the Nokomis and part of the team that puts on this event every year.  Congratulations!

CHUCKWAGON 2018 was another successful event!!  We sold 96 tickets this year!!  The menu was three types of chili with all the fixings you could possibly imagine.  The American Legion cooked the main chili and we received lots of compliments on how wonderful all the chili’s tasted.  The auction was outstanding with wonderful items to pick from.

Along with our auction items we will have a "claw" machine that you can try to pick up containers filled with gift cards to some of our favorite restaurants and stores (there might even be some toys to dive for). We will also have a cotton candy machine! We can even make some sugar free cotton candy. So grab your cowboy hats, boots, and your horse (if you have one), spouse, family, friends, quarters for the claw game and come enjoy the fun with us!

Please reserve your spot by APRIL 12th so we can make sure there is plenty to eat for everyone!

We’re Simplifying Dues: All will be Due each September

Can't remember when you joined, or when your dues are due?  You're just like the resduest of us. At the last Membership meeting Pam recommended a way to make things things simpler - everyone is due in September, when we kick off the active part of our year.

We'll set everyone's membership date to this September.  If you've paid dues in calendar 2015, then you get until September 2016.   That means free bonus months for quite a few folks while we make the transition.

Since we're sending the Newsletter from the Website, they'll automatically expire in September too.  You can by PayPal or in person in September and it's all simple.

We'll firm up all the transition details, get the automation lined up.  We'll get the nuts and bolts worked out and share those details at the May meeting.

Now there will be one fewer thing to remember.
