Another great year, another great selection of chili! Come try mild to spicy and white Chili’s certain one will be your “hearts” desire!!
Along with our auction items the “claw” machine will be back filled with toys and gift cards to some of our favorite restaurants and stores. And there's a 50/50 Raffle - the odds of winning half the raffle ticket sales are great, and the winnings go up as more folks pitch in!
Grab your cowboy hats, boots, and your horse (if you have one), spouse, family, friends, quarters for the claw machine and come enjoy lots of fun with us!
Please reserve your spots by MARCH 10th so we can make sure there is plenty of Chili and fixings for everyone!
You can buy your tickets here (Paypal adds a small fee)
Yes, it's true. We are excited to do something truly different after our meeting in February. We'll be at Bad Axe Throwing at 2505 Kennedy Street NE, Suite A, Minneapolis from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Check it out at www.badaxethrowing.com. It really looks like bowling, but with axes!
Axe throwing costs $39.25 per person. You can pay on site by credit card only. If you can't throw, you can come with your throwing friend or partner to watch. Everyone should plan to bring food and beverage, as we are having a pot luck. Please sign up for throwing on the signup sheet on the website so we know how many are coming. Also,
A few rules: no alcohol is allowed, although we will likely go out afterwards at a nearby Pub, and you must wear closed-toed shoes if you are throwing. We'll touch base at the meeting on Saturday, and then head over later.
Are you ready for St Patrick's day? The 16th annual beer tasting and competition will take place on March 9th after our membership meeting, and it's time to get prepared. You do not have to compete in the tasting to attend, of course, and can simply enjoy the St Patrick's Day fun. However, if you are competing, start thinking about your entry now! If you wish to enter the tasting, you should bring 4-6 bottles of your entry. All types of beer, hard cider, malt beverage, near beer, maltini, non-alcoholic beer or malternative are welcome. You can even enter a soda if you'd like to, as you never know what will win. Keep in mind that the Bad Beer Board is also up for grabs.
The party is moving back to its roots this year. Before we had Barn Tasting and Beer Dancing, and before we had hotels and hot tubs, we were at my home in St Anthony. We'll be back there this year. Final details will be in the March newsletter.
