Now the hard part - which version? StarTrek.com reveals the details, although their release date is likely incorrect. The site reports that each retailer has its own unique bent, or 'warp' on the product. Aside from the DVD/Blu-Ray/3D choices, you can choose which model or models make you happy.

Remember that your dues are due (no pun intended) in September, regardless of your anniversary month. We realigned the dues year to match our activity calendar planning starting in 2015.
If you are going to miss the September meeting (and we hope you aren't, because it's a biggie and we'll present the activity calendar), don't despair. There are a few ways you can get your dues to Pam.
Please remember that you must pay by the drop-dead time - BEFORE the October meeting - to be included in the October celebration. Plus, you won't get newsletters any more, and then how will you know what's going on?

Sign-up sheets are a part of Nokomis life. Wouldn't it be cool if they were available online? Well, it's cooler than PSI 2000 in here. The website can handle sign-up sheets.
The action happens under the My USS Nokomis button. Select Signup Sheets and you'll be taken to a page that shows you the sheets available. If you've signed up online, it'll also show you what you've already signed up to do.
Next to each available sheet is a View and Sign Up link. That's where you go to View the slots and sign up (coulda figured that out on my own, "thanks" Phill). Once you sign up for a slot you'll get an email reminding you what you clicked, and you'll get reminders closer to the date of the event if the sheet is set up that way.
Log in to use the function. There's a practice sheet in there you can fiddle with to get the hang of it. The sign-up sheet for the Lake Outing is live and ready to go.
The 2016 Visit to the Uecker's Cabin is coming up on August 19th. Can you believe they've been nice enough to invite us every year since 1987? That's six five-years of fun in the sun and the Lake!
This year’s anniversary picnic (and camp out) will be held at Loren and Carol Evers’ property. We own approximately 11 acres about 10 miles north of Stillwater (about 10 miles northeast of the old Madline farm). So there is plenty of room for all the fun-filled activities people would like to participate in.
For those that would like to camp out, you can show up any time after 5PM on Friday. If you come any earlier than that, chances are we won’t be home. There is plenty of open space for tents and/or camper’s so bring which ever you would like to sleep in. For those people that bring campers and would like power, please let us know in advance so we can plan for that need. If you do come on Friday please bring something to grill and something to share. Please pray for NO rain, otherwise we’ll all be living in the garage.
If you want to stay the night with the Evers, they are renting their very comfortable upstairs room for $50. If you are interested in this fundraiser and warm bed, contact Carol and Loren directly.
The anniversary picnic will again be a potluck. So please bring something to grill and something to share. It will also be a BYOB event. We don’t have an extra refrigerator, but we’ll have cooler(s) available with plenty of ice. If anyone has a large cooler they can loan to the cause, please bring that along as well. We’ll be providing plates, napkins, cups, and utensils (of the paper and plastic variety).
Juana's family has gifted us with her Star Trek collection and costumes. There will be a silent auction during the meeting, see the accompanying article.
Also, feel free to bring along your toys as long as you don’t mind them getting lost in the weeds or the lake.

Celebrate Halloween without the Fright
All proceeds support the plants and animals of the Como Zoo and Conservatory. The Nokomis has been helping out with this event since 1994 (this is our 21st event). We really want to help keep one of America's last free-admission zoos free.
Como Zoo will be transformed for Zoo Boo October 17th, 18th; and October 24th – 25th. Gates Open: 4:30-7:30 p.m. We're just four nights this year, so let's make them count.
Como Friends are starting to gear up for our annual Como Friends ZooBoo at Como Zoo event and hope that you can join us again! On the morning of the first event night, Saturday October 17th, we'll be in full-on work to complete setups before the event. We start at 8AM and hopefully we'll be done before the gates open.
Our folks will be heading up the new Halloween station, just inside the front gate. We need to get there early (3PM), but we get done first. Be sure to sign in up on the second floor of the Big Zoo Building - there are goodies for you there, and perhaps a surprise coupon.

There's a new feature on the Nokomis website - the Newsletter Archive. Need a copy of a past Newsletter, or need the current one when you don't have your email with you? Go to the archive. It's under the My USSNOKOMIS button.
You'll need to be logged in to see the archive. Each time the newsletter goes out, the site automatically puts a copy on the archive page too, so there's no delay. If it's sent, it's in the archive. For now it's limited to the newsletters that we've sent from the website itself, we don't have back-issues beyond 2015 posted.
Remember to log in when you visit the site - there are some events and news stories that don't show to the public. They're the perks of membership.
June is busy beyond belief with graduations and other such good events. To make room for a great many of us, we've once again moved the Anniversary Picnic and the ever-so-brief business meeting to May 30th. Be sure to mark your calendar!
